"The wine opens with aromas of allspice, dried cherries, figs, and maple syrup. The palate is rich in dark berries, with hints of pepper and cinnamon. Racy acidity is in harmony with the silky tannins wrapped in fruit. The finish is shared equally by floral, earthy, and velvety fruit notes. It is a lovely pairing with pan-seared salmon with lemon and herbs. This is also a wine to explore with Asian dishes, such as Peking duck with hoisin sauce." Winemaker's Notes
